The Securities Industry Association (SIA) has announced the appointment of Nick Scarlett as its new executive director.
Scarlett, who has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, will be responsible for leading the association's day-to-day operations and representing its members.
The SIA represents the interests ofsharebroking, wealth management, and investment banking firms that are accredited as NZX market participants.
The association's priorities include engaging with the Government and regulators on capital markets issues, supporting companies in listing and growing on the NZX, and creating investment opportunities for New Zealanders.
Scarlett succeeds Bridget MacDonald, who led the SIA for eight years.
